TDOR Events

 Saturday at 6 PM - 8 PM
At The Westminster United Church of Christ
411 S Washington St, Spokane, Washington 99204

Transgender day of Remembrance is a day where we gather to remember those who were murdered or committed suicide each year.
We will start with a candlelight memorial in the Sanctuary. At that time, we will have a couple speakers talk and a couple of
poets share their work. At that time, we will read the names of those who are gone. Following this, we will gather downstairs
for light refreshments and a chance to mingle and network.

Coeur d'Alene

Friday at 6 PM - 7:30 PM
At The Human Rights Education Institute
414 West Fort Grounds Drive, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83814

The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialize those who have been murdered due to anti- transgender hatred or prejudice.
Over the last decade, more than one person per month has died in the U.S. due to transgender-based hate or prejudice, regardless of any other factors
in their lives. This trend shows no sign of abating. We come together to remember all who have lost their lives to anti-transgender violence and to commit
ourselves to making our community a safer place for all of us. Please join us to remember the victims, hear stories of hope and, share in our conviction to
create a safer and inclusive community for all. After the program, please stay for soup and socializing. This event is sponsored by the
North Idaho Pride Alliance and the Human Rights Education Institute.
